Mom
My mother was born on November 15, 1915 in Boston Massachusetts, but raised in Chicago. She was the
eldest of five children. She loved Chicago and always bragged about plenty of employment and opportunities there.
She worked for the Internal Revenue Taxpayer Division Service but developed Multiple Sclerosis and had to retire.
Her death was on April 24, 1977.

Dad
Daddy was the second eldest in his family of seven children. He was born in Tarpon Springs Florida on April
15, 1915. He was first generation Greek American and his parents were from Kos and Kalymnos Greece.
Daddy had to quit school to work and help the family survive the depression. He was a crewmember on a sponge-diving
boat-which was the staple industry in Tarpon Springs during his youth. During the Epiphany holy day, he also entered
the traditional "diving for the cross of Christ" event and won twice. I always said that my father swam like a dolphin.
He had diabetes and developed gangrene which took both of his legs from the knees down. His death was March
7, 1989.

Other Relatives
This picture is my beloved Aunt Irene-who is the sister of my father. She was born on July 3, 1916.
We always corresponded by mail or when we could meet in person, we always spent time together just chatting about anything
that hit us at the time. She recently passed away and I'm still getting over not having her in this world. However,
she did have quite a lot of pain with arthritis and was developing dementia. I'll see her again some day. But
for now she's with our Savior and her family once again.
